Photography As A Hobby

A peek behind the lens

Photography has become more than just a hobby for me; it's a passion that allows me to see the world in new and exciting ways. Traveling with my wife Erika, we explore diverse landscapes, vibrant cities, and hidden gems, capturing each moment through my lens. Learning and practicing photography has been an incredibly rewarding experience, challenging me to develop a unique approach and a keen eye for detail. My love for creative design and composition drives me to continually push the boundaries and discover new possibilities within this art form. Join me on this journey as I share my adventures and the beautiful moments we've captured along the way.

Capturing the Essence of Paradise:

The US Virgin Islands

In August 2023, Erika and I embarked on an unforgettable adventure to the heart of the Caribbean—the US Virgin Islands. Imagine azure waters meeting white sands in a tropical paradise. Our journey took us to the pristine beaches and vibrant marine life of the islands, where we explored in unforgettable scuba diving and snorkeling. Incredible sunsets paused time, and local rum warmed our evenings.

Erika and I etched these memories into our hearts, capturing the essence of paradise.

A Symphony of Cypress and ReflectionS:

Caddo Lake - kARNACK, tx

In May 2022, Erika and I ventured to Karnack, TX, immersing ourselves in the enchanting beauty of Caddo Lake. This natural canvas, with its whispers of ancient cypress trees and gentle ripples, was a true Texas treasure. As our kayaks glided through this watery wonderland, each turn unveiled a new chapter of our adventure. Nature's orchestra played a symphony around us, and the air was thick with the scent of earth and life. We couldn't help but marvel at the pristine beauty surrounding us. May Caddo Lake forever be a sanctuary—a place where time slows, and nature embraces you.

Where Nature Paints Its Grandest Masterpiece:

Alaska

In September 2021, Erika and I embarked on an unforgettable journey through Alaska. Our adventure took us from Anchorage to Seward and beyond. Exploring by helicopter and boat, we soared above fjords and icefields, witnessing nature's raw power. Everything seemed bigger there, especially when trying to take in the wildlife and scenery which surrounded you. A place where locals refer to the rest of the states as the "lower 48." We can't wait to return and capture even more of this untamed beauty.

Frame the Fall: Nature's Spectacle in Colorado

Where Autumn Paints Its Grandest Masterpiece:

Colorado

In October 2020, Erika and I traded city life for Estes Park’s mountain magic. Nestled at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, our cabin looked out on towering pines and distant ridgelines dusted with early snow. One morning we strapped on our hiking shoes and set off for Lilly Mountain, climbing switchbacks through golden aspen groves until we reached its 9,786-foot summit.

At the peak, the world stretched out in waves of russet and gold, valleys veiled in mist and peaks piercing the sky. Colorado in fall is a tapestry of crisp air, fiery foliage, and wildlife moments you feel in your bones.

España

Capture Spain: Where Every Shot Tells A Story
(Madrid, Toledo, Valencia)

A land of culture and cuisine: Spain

In October 2019, I returned to Spain for my second visit—and this time I had the pleasure of showing Erika around. We started on Valencia’s sun-drenched beaches, locked many steps through Madrid’s historic streets, and hopped a train for a day trip to Toledo. Along the way, we explored a number of cathedrals, sampled iconic tapas — jamón, cheese boards, and a paella that really added to the experience of it all. We even stumbled into across a local peace protest, visited the Valencia World Aquarium. Spain blessed us with moments wrapped in a blend of culture and cuisine which led to an unforgettable trip for the books.
